Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, are conducted efficiently and accurately.
- Develop and implement work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Provide training and mentorship to warehouse associates, focusing on safety procedures and job performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Enforce all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE, and conduct safety audits.
- Manage the maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics flow.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on warehouse efficiency.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems effectively.
- Experience with lifting and moving heavy items is beneficial.
