We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory within our warehouse. Your efficiency and adherence to safety standards are critical to our daily operations. This position requires a dependable individual with a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment. Your contribution will be vital to our supply chain success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve goods.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktaking.
- Follow all established safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as required.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
