We are hiring an Order Picker to join our fast-paced fulfillment center in the heart of New York City, New York. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that orders are processed correctly and dispatched promptly. We value precision and speed, and we are looking for individuals who can maintain high standards in a demanding environment. Maintaining a safe workspace is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items based on customer order lists and specifications.
- Utilize scanning equipment to track picked items and update inventory.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing and shipping stations.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of required PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks or other light warehouse equipment as necessary.
- Meet or exceed picking productivity targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of safety.
