Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our Indianapolis, Indiana logistics team. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, directly impacting our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include executing comprehensive cycle counting programs, investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, and maintaining precise inventory records within our WMS. You will analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend process improvements to optimize stock levels and minimize waste. Close collaboration with warehouse associates and supervisors is essential to uphold proper inventory handling procedures. A strong understanding of logistics principles and best practices is required. Safety is paramount in our operations; you must be committed to following all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe work environment. This role may involve occasional physical activity, such as lifting items up to 30 pounds. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Reconcile inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify patterns and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure proper stock rotation and handling.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of inventory control policies.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics/supply chain is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory management techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Capability for occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
