We are hiring experienced Material Handlers for our busy warehouse in Denver, Colorado. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within the facility. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting goods using various equipment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and warehouse storage areas.
- Transport materials, supplies, and finished products to and from designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) safely and efficiently; certification is required or will be provided.
- Assist in organizing warehouse stock and maintaining inventory accuracy through proper placement and counting.
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing, ensuring accurate labeling and staging.
- Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Strictly follow all company safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material flow and any potential issues.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is essential.
- Valid forklift operation certification is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and carrying for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a consistent work history.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control and logistics principles is a plus.
