Are you an experienced Material Handler seeking a new opportunity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin? Our bustling logistics center is looking for a motivated individual to manage the movement of materials efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport goods within the warehouse. Your role is vital in ensuring that raw materials are available for production and finished goods are ready for shipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and adept at working in a fast-paced environment. We prioritize a secure workplace, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. This position involves significant physical work, including frequent lifting and moving of heavy items. A commitment to maintaining organized work areas and contributing to overall warehouse efficiency is expected. We offer a supportive team environment and opportunities for growth within our logistics operations. Daily responsibilities include receiving materials, staging them for various departments, and assisting with shipping preparations. Accurate tracking of material movement is also a key component of this role. Experience with various types of material handling equipment and a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
- Stage materials for production or shipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with stock checks.
- Adhere to strict safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Valid forklift certification and experience are highly preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs) regularly.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a demanding environment.
