Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
QA Project Manager
to lead and mature Quality Assurance initiatives across technology teams. This role will drive Agile project execution, stakeholder alignment, vendor management, and the establishment of scalable QA processes and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Lead stakeholder outreach, discovery interviews, and workshops to assess current QA practices, identify gaps, and define priorities. Document existing and future-state QA processes, standards, and workflows. Implement and manage
Agile project management practices , including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and iterative status reporting. Build and manage detailed
project plans, timelines, milestones, and KPIs
to track QA program progress. Partner with leadership to define
success metrics, governance models, and communication strategies . Establish vendor evaluation criteria, support partner selection, and manage onboarding of QA service providers. Develop and maintain
resourcing models
and operational frameworks to enable cross-team collaboration and accountability. Ensure strong
documentation discipline , version control, and institutional knowledge capture for QA assets. Proactively identify risks and roadblocks, prioritize work effectively, and drive resolution within Agile delivery cycles. Provide regular status updates and executive-level reporting to stakeholders. Required Qualifications
7+ years
of experience in
Project or Program Management
within a technology organization. Strong background working in
Agile/Scrum environments , specifically supporting
Testing and Quality Assurance
initiatives. Solid understanding of
QA processes, testing methodologies, metrics, and delivery quality frameworks . Experience managing
QA vendors and external partners . Highly self-directed, organized, and capable of independently managing complex, cross-functional initiatives. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work locally or travel regularly to the
San Francisco Bay Area . Preferred Qualifications
Agile or Scrum certification such as
CSM, PMI-ACP, or SAFe . Experience scaling QA practices across multiple teams or enterprise programs. Background in QA transformation, test strategy implementation, or delivery governance. Skills
