Summary:
The Manager of Data, Analytics, and Gift Processing is the senior data governance and analytics leader within the Foundation, responsible for the strategic oversight, integrity, and optimization of all fundraising data and gift processing operations. This role serves as the Foundation’s central authority on donor data establishing standards, governance, and analytical frameworks that ensure accuracy, confidentiality, donor intent, and regulatory compliance while enabling data-informed fundraising strategy and growth.
This position oversees the full lifecycle of fundraising data, from gift entry and acknowledgment through reporting, analytics, and performance measurement. The Manager of Data, Analytics, and Gift Processing ensures donor information is managed with the highest levels of precision, professionalism, and discretion, reinforcing donor trust and strengthening stewardship across the organization.
As the Foundation’s lead data strategist, this role drives the intentional design and optimization of Raiser’s Edge NXT and related fundraising systems, ensuring data architecture, coding, and integrations are aligned to support advanced analytics, segmentation, forecasting, and ROI analysis. The Manager of Data, Analytics, and Gift Processing translates complex data into actionable insights that guide fundraising priorities, campaign strategy, and leadership decision-making.
This role requires exceptional judgment, analytical rigor, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration. Clear and effective communication is essential, as this leader partners with fundraising, finance, operations, and communications teams to ensure data is consistently understood, trusted, and used to advance organizational goals.
The Manager of Data, Analytics and Gift Processing upholds a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data excellence—positioning the Foundation to scale, innovate, and steward donor relationships with integrity.
Responsibilities:
Data Governance and Strategy
Serve as the Foundation’s data governance lead, establishing and enforcing standards for data quality, integrity, security, access, and documentation across all fundraising systems.
Own data architecture, coding structures, and business rules to ensure consistency, reliability, and alignment with organizational strategy and donor intent.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and donor confidentiality standards.
Analytics and Insight
Lead the development of advanced analytics, dashboards, and performance reporting to support fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
Produce sophisticated segmentation and analysis to optimize solicitations, stewardship, and return on investment.
Partner with leadership to interpret data trends and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
Systems Optimization and Innovation
Spearhead the strategic optimization of Raiser’s Edge NXT, ensuring the platform is configured and leveraged to its full analytical and operational potential.
Lead data integrations and mapping across digital giving platforms, event systems, and third-party tools, including GoFundMe Pro and Omatic.
Champion innovation, automation, and scalable solutions within the fundraising technology ecosystem.
Gift Processing and Stewardship Infrastructure
Oversee all gift processing operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and fidelity to donor intent.
Design and manage a comprehensive gift acknowledgment and stewardship framework that supports donor trust and long-term engagement.
Ensure seamless coordination between data, finance, and fundraising teams.
Leadership and Enablement
Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to Foundation leadership and frontline fundraisers on data, analytics, and systems best practices.
Train and support staff to ensure consistent, effective, and responsible use of fundraising systems and data.
Lead cross-functional collaboration to align data insights with fundraising strategy and organizational priorities.

Must be able to work independently and without supervision as well as part of a team.
Must be detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysis.

Ability to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.

Ability to deal with confidential data and the aptitude to work closely with donors and philanthropy professionals.
Must be proficient in Microsoft products.
Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge experience preferred.
Possess a current driver’s license and must have reliable vehicle for travel throughout the State of Maine.
Flexibility working occasional weekends, evenings, or holidays

Education
Required bachelor's degree and five years of data integrity and database management experience or similar experience or a minimum of eight years of fundraising/development/data integrity or similar customer service experience required.
