We're hiring a Level 1/1.5 IT Support Technician for a 3-month onsite contract to support a growing organization during a workstation modernization and deployment project. You'll work closely with the internal IT team to provide front-line, people-focused support, ensuring users are set up correctly, comfortable with their new devices, and able to work productively.

You're a motivated IT support professional with a strong interest in hands-on desktop support and end-user experience. You approach technical issues with a calm, methodical mindset and communicate clearly with users at all levels of technical comfort.
You're eager to continue developing your technical skills, adapt quickly in a project-driven environment, and support users through technology changes with patience and professionalism.
Work Type
- Location: Vaughan, ON (Fully On-site – 5 days a week in office)
- Contract Length: 3-month contract

Requirements
What You'll Do (Your Superpowers)
- Provide Level 1–1.5 onsite IT support during a workstation deployment and migration project
- Support users through scheduled 1:1 setup sessions, either at their desk or on their assigned device
- Assist with Windows 11 workstation preparation, including:
- Renaming computers
- Joining devices to the domain
- Installing required software and applications
- Support Microsoft 365 and Active Directory tasks, including basic user setup and troubleshooting
- Install base applications and tools needed for users to work locally or through virtual desktop environments
- Assist with documentation of workstation configurations and asset tracking
- Log work, updates, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior IT staff as required
- Provide friendly, professional support to users transitioning to new systems and workflows
What We're Looking For (Our Wishlist)
- 1–2 years of IT support experience, ideally in a helpdesk, desktop support, or onsite support role
- Hands-on experience supporting:
- Windows 10/11 in a business environment
- Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Basic familiarity with Active Directory (user accounts, domain-joined devices)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to document technical information clearly and accurately
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently on assigned tasks
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- Exposure to project-based IT work or deployments
- Experience using ticketing systems
- Entry-level certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+)
