Customer Data Engineer , youll sit at the intersection of data engineering, customer success, and product. Youll work directly with biotech customers to translate high-level questions into well-defined analyses and dashboards, transforming messy clinical trial data into decisions teams can act on immediately. Youll own customer-facing delivery end-to-end, and youll partner closely with product and engineering teams to provide input on roadmaps. This is not an internal analytics role and not a ticket factory. Youll be expected to think, prioritize, and execute independently. If youre someone who likes being close to users, takes pride in shipping work that directly impacts customers, and wants to wear multiple hats (data, customer-facing, product), this role will feel energizing. What Youll Do Own customer-facing analytics and data requests end-to-end, from intake and clarification through delivery and follow-up Translate clinical trial questions into robust data workflows, dashboards, and data models Build and maintain reusable, production-grade dashboards and data pipelines used directly by customers Work closely with customers in meetings to understand study goals, priorities, and constraints Identify patterns across customer requests and help map them to scalable, repeatable solutions Work closely with the CEO, product, and engineering to improve data workflows, tooling, and product direction Help templatize and scale customer analytics to support data integration and interoperability across clinical trials
What Youll Need To Succeed Fluency in SQL and Python: You can wrangle messy data and build dashboards that actually drive decisions Customer-facing comfort: Youve worked with stakeholders and/or customers, and know how to ask the right questions to clarify needs Comfortable owning deliverables independently without detailed instructions Youre proactive, organized, and dont need hand-holding. Youre accountable, ask smart questions, and ship fast Experience working in clinical trials, life sciences, or regulated data environments is a plus, but not required
