Act as the go-to IT partner for day-to-day infrastructure support across multiple locations Install, configure, maintain, and support POS systems (hardware, software, peripherals, and integrations) Lead POS rollouts, upgrades, and configuration changes across sites to ensure minimal business disruption Monitor and support network connectivity and performance, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, VLANs, wireless access, switches, and firewalls Troubleshoot system, network, and POS issues quickly to reduce downtime and maintain reliable store operations Support payment and security requirements related to POS environments (including PCI compliance expectations) Administer patching, backups, recovery processes, and general security controls across infrastructure Manage endpoint deployments including provisioning, configuration, imaging, shipping/logistics coordination, and deployment documentation Ensure IoT and distributed devices are properly set up with required software, user accounts, security settings, and network configurations prior to deployment Maintain accurate asset tracking and inventory records; coordinate with internal teams to support onboarding/offboarding needs Support and maintain email environments and user accounts across modern collaboration platforms (including account access, security, and reliability) Provide remote and on-site user support via standard communication tools (e.g., chat and email), escalating complex issues as needed Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for troubleshooting, repairs, implementations, and technology improvements Manage IT-related subscription/licensing administration by tracking usage, validating invoices, and maintaining accurate records Support voice and communications systems (wired phone and/or VoIP), ensuring store-level reliability and correct configuration Coordinate with AV/technical vendors for location-based needs, including event spaces and shared-use environments Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and support procedures to improve consistency and scalability Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives tied to customer-facing technology (e.g., loyalty, gift cards, basic web/DNS/domain support) Required Skills & Experience
Broad IT support background across infrastructure, end-user support, and troubleshooting Strong working knowledge of POS environments and related operational dependencies Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing/switching concepts) Hands-on experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments Familiarity with system monitoring, endpoint management, and security best practices Ability to independently prioritize work, resolve issues with minimal oversight, and communicate progress clearly Strong documentation habits and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users Comfortable supporting multiple locations, including regular travel to regional sites and occasional extended travel Authorized to work without sponsorship About Versique
