We have not only consistently expanded our machinery, but we also employ the very best workers who are experts in their fields.Visit our website: www.hitekmfg.comWhat You Will Do:The 2nd Shift CMM Technician, reporting to the Shift Supervisor, is responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures related to the various parts and equipment they are required to operate. This role involves inspecting production and prototype hardware and manufacturing components using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). Additionally, CMM Technicians are tasked with loading and unloading parts, inspecting them with various precision measuring tools, making decisions to accept or reject parts, and effectively communicating any changes both verbally and in writing.Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specificationsClean, set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment prior to usePerform incoming part inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspectionsVerify conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessaryLoad, unload, and analyze measurement data to identify deviations from specificationsUtilize knowledge of linear and rotary axesOperate the overhead crane when necessaryCommunicate effectively with engineering, management, and CNC operators to ensure that measurement processes and inspection methodologies are optimizedProvide necessary data to machine operators to reduce the defect rateInform management when concerns with quality issues ariseDocuments actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP systemMaintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping dutiesFollow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPEAny other duties as assigned to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organizations valuesEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredExperience required in at least one of the following: Calypso, OpenDMIS, or MCOSMOS softwareExperience required in at least one of the following: ZEISS, Mitutoyo, or WENZEL CMM machines3+ years of experience using precision measuring tools in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace preferred3+ years of experience in CMM operationKnowledge of quality control principles and practicesProficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Must meet the ITAR definition of 120.15 U.S. personKey Competencies:The ability to work efficiently with others or independently as requiredIntegrity and conscientiousness in all work-related matters
