We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to shipping. You will be expected to perform your duties in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from designated areas, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Strong attention to detail is required to ensure accurate inventory counts and proper handling of all products. Experience with various types of forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models, is preferred. A commitment to safety, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position involves frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and requires the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport products to and from storage areas and production floors.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper stock rotation and tracking.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including picking, packing, and shipping.
- Participate in regular safety training and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
