Job Summary:
Are you a proven leader with a passion for warehouse operations? We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our busy facility in San Jose, California. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the entire warehouse. You will manage a team of warehouse associates, delegate tasks, monitor performance, and implement operational improvements. Your responsibilities will include coordinating receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping activities. A strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and a commitment to safety are paramount. This position requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on team development and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead daily warehouse operations and staff.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor workflow for receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE, are strictly followed by the team.
  • Train and develop warehouse associates, providing coaching and feedback.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure proper functioning.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and customer service.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Address operational issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Perform regular safety inspections and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Manage staffing levels and schedules to meet operational demands.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or lead role is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE in a warehouse setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management software (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
