We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and packing customer orders, ensuring that all items are selected according to specifications and are prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong commitment to efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Use handheld scanners and other warehouse equipment to track inventory.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Conduct quality checks on picked items to ensure they meet order requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to your supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily picking goals.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending and reaching. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to safety are essential. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
