Our dynamic logistics company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our operations. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, storing, and preparing materials and products within our warehouse. This includes operating equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified), loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring inventory is organized and accessible. A strong commitment to safety is paramount; you will be required to adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and engage in safe lifting and material handling techniques. Accuracy in tracking materials and maintaining a clean work environment are also key aspects of this role. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory principles.
