We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of inventory management principles, and a commitment to upholding **safety** standards. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing improvements to inventory processes. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for growth within our expanding **logistics** network.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories with a high degree of accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment.
- Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Adhere to all company **safety** protocols and procedures, including the proper use of **PPE** (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed to support overall warehouse flow.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Must be able to perform **Lifting** up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with **logistics** and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using required **PPE**.
