Join our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington as a Receiving Clerk. This crucial role is the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our logistics operations. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly logging all received items into our inventory system. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong data entry skills. A commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to procedures are paramount. Your role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our inventory from the moment it enters our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers.
- Verify quantities and product codes against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and prepare items for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or logistics is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and experience with inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of proper handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Reliable and punctual.
