Join Our Team as a Practitioner Psychologist or Psychotherapist!
At Turning Point , we are proud leaders in helping individuals recover from addiction and reclaim their lives. By providing timely support and ensuring access to comprehensive help, we have become one of the largest providers of substance use services in England and Wales. We are currently seeking a passionate Practitioner Psychologist or Psychotherapist to join our newly formed team in Grimsby, dedicated to delivering effective psycho-social interventions.
The North East Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership (NELRP) offers a free and confidential service for adults and young people seeking support with drug and alcohol use. Our collaborative approach ensures that those we support can navigate the system with ease, without feeling overwhelmed.
Main Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will:
- Provide clinical guidance, training, and leadership to a dedicated team delivering psycho-social interventions.
- Utilize your expertise to develop innovative approaches for individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges.
- Oversee the systematic governance of services while offering practical advice on trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions.
- Inspire and coordinate your team, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Manage a small caseload of service users with complex needs, providing specialist psychological assessments and therapies.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and development of the service, building strong professional links with other providers.
- Explore ways to enhance our services by integrating broader issues like housing, employment, and finances into treatment.
- Collaborate with our national team of psychologists and psychotherapists to develop and refine psychological approaches.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a qualified professional who:
- Holds a doctorate and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist, or with UKCP, BPC, or BACP as a Psychotherapist.
- Has experience leading and supervising clinical staff, ideally with a background in substance misuse services.
- Possesses excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a strong commitment to the Recovery Agenda.
