*THIS IS A HANDS-ON TECHNICAL FIELD ROLE*
This position requires more than basic networking knowledge. You will design, optimize,and validate Wi-Fi systems using real survey data and structured processes.
*This is NOT:*
* Help desk or remote IT work
* A cabling-focused position
* A trial-and-error router swap role

Merrimack Valley Wi-Fi Pros is a Westford, MA–based professional services company specializing in the design, optimization, and troubleshooting of Wi-Fi and network systems for homes and small businesses. We simplify complex networking problems and deliver solutions that make sense and work the right way.
*WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR*
You are hands-on, analytical, and technically capable. You understand Wi-Fi as a system influenced by RF behavior, placement, and environment—not just hardware. You are comfortable performing Wi-Fi surveys, interpreting results, leveraging existing cabling, and explaining findings clearly to customers.
*WHAT YOU WILL DO*
* Perform Wi-Fi surveys and analyze results
* Design Wi-Fi solutions based on measured data
* Install and optimize routers, access points, and related equipment
* Validate performance and make adjustments
* Troubleshoot complex Wi-Fi and network issues onsite
* Document configurations and results
* Travel to job sites from Westford, MA in a company vehicle
*REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS*
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, routing basics)
* Strong understanding of Wi-Fi fundamentals (RSSI, SNR, channels, interference)
* Ability to interpret Wi-Fi survey data
* Comfort with diagnostic and survey tools
*CERTIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL GROWTH*
Active pursuit of industry certifications is expected:
* CompTIA Network+
* CWTS
* CWNA
Certification study is primarily on your own time, with approximately one paid training day every other week allocated for certification, skills development, and company training, based on workload.

*WORK REQUIREMENTS*
* Onsite field role (not remote)
* Regular lifting up to 35 lbs; occasional 50 lbs
* Ladder use required
* Reliable commute to Westford, MA

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
