Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) / Animal Care Professional – Full Time

Tri-County Humane Society (TCHS) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or an animal care professional with strong clinical or shelter experience to join our dedicated team.

This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The successful candidate will be cross-trained in multiple animal care areas, including surgery, foster care programs, and assisting with animal intake.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with surgical procedures and post-operative care
• Support animal intake and daily care operations
• Participate in foster care and shelter programs
• Work collaboratively with animal care, medical, and leadership teams
• Follow established safety and animal welfare protocols

Qualifications:

• Certified Veterinary Technician degree or significant clinical/shelter animal care experience
• Surgical experience required
• Three or more years of clinic or shelter experience preferred (training available for qualified candidates with some experience)
• Compassionate, positive, and professional attitude
• Ability to take direction and work well within a team
• Availability to work every other weekend per month
