The Hutton House is a premier, luxurious event venue located just outside of Minneapolis, MN in Medicine Lake. We are a small, close-knit, women-operated team that encourages growth, promotes empowerment, and is passionate about the hospitality and events industry. We host a wide range of events, from corporate meetings and social gatherings to galas, celebrations of life, and weddings and we are excited to add a Venue Coordinator to our team
Position: Venue Event Coordinator
As reservations are confirmed, our clients are welcomed and supported by our Venue Coordinators. This role will work primarily with corporate and social event clients, while also supporting a rotating mix of wedding clients throughout the year.
The Venue Coordinator is responsible for managing all venue-related planning components for assigned clients, including (but not limited to):
- Finalizing and collecting rental balances
- Coordinating and submitting special event insurance
- Creating custom floor plans and bar orders
- Assisting with timelines and logistics
- Providing vendor recommendations
- Offering ongoing venue planning support and guidance
- Event-Day Venue Management
This position also plays a key role in on-site event execution. The Venue Coordinator will serve as Venue Manager for various events, both for their own clients and for other booked events, to ensure a seamless experience and exceptional guest service. This includes evening and weekend availability as needed. These shifts allow our team to stay closely connected to the flow of events in our space, which in turn enhances the service and insight we provide throughout the planning process.
This is an in-office role with flexibility for remote days.
Qualifications & Skills
- A minimum of two years of hospitality, event coordination, or venue experience is preferred
- Strong organization, time management, and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple clients, timelines, and projects in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, ambitious self-starter who is excited to take ownership of their role
- A collaborative mindset with an interest in continually improving systems, service, and the client experience
