The Payroll Specialist position is a critical role within Boomerang Corp. The position will be responsible for the weekly processing of payrolls, maintaining payroll system / records, maintaining timekeeping system / records, submitting all payroll-related reports, including fringe benefits.

Essential Functions

Process regular weekly and applicable supplemental payrolls for all employee groups, including complex payroll calculations, billing adjustments, verification of time records and sub-contractor reporting
Maintain employee payroll records in partnership with HR, including new hire data verification, classification changes, salary changes, leave adjustments and other information as needed
Maintain integrity of timekeeping reports in partnership with managers, job owners, executives and others necessary in the approval of time worked
Partner with Controller and Project Managers to ensure accuracy of job set-ups for pay regulations and reporting purposes
Prepare and submit all required local, state and federal payroll reports
Maintain accurate payroll system records
Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper benefit deductions.
Review billings from benefit providers for accuracy. Resolve discrepancies with carriers, payroll and the company. Complete reports for management as requested.
Keep management advised of potential problem areas and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate.
Properly follow all state and federal agencies' safety procedures.
Maintain professional attitude with owners, inspectors, public and company personnel
**MUST PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN**
Required Education, Skills and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll administration within the construction industry, including but not limited to, certified reporting.
Experience with ADP and Foundation systems required.
Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task; work with interruptions; and adjust to changing priorities
Ability to work well independently as well as cooperatively with others
Must be able to maintain security of confidential or sensitive information
