Nurse Admissions Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Nurse Admissions Coordinator (RN) to join our team. This role is essential to our admissions process and census development efforts. The Nurse Admissions Coordinator manages incoming referrals, reviews clinical documentation, coordinates resident admissions, and builds strong relationships with referral sources and community partners. If you enjoy combining your clinical skills with communication, coordination, and outreach—this position is a great fit. This position reports to the Facility Administrator and works closely with the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state of Louisiana (unencumbered, active license).
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, home health, or hospital discharge planning preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Excel and Adobe
• Ability to interpret clinical information and apply admission criteria.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, insurance verification, and Medicare/Managed Care guidelines.
