SUMMARY:
The Development Manager will lead fundraising and donor engagement efforts to support the Enlace's mission of promoting justice, dignity and equity for migrants and farmworkers through advocacy, education, outreach and direct services. Empowering our communities to achieve self-sufficiency by fostering collaboration among partners across the Finger Lakes and Western New York. This role is ideal for a strategic and relationship-driven professional who is passionate about social justice, immigrant rights, and rural equity.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Donor Relations
● Develop and implement an annual fundraising strategy that includes individual giving, major gifts, grants, and community-based fundraising.
● Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, including personalized outreach, impact updates, and donor recognition.
● Create donor communications such as newsletters, campaign appeals, and thank-you letters that reflect the voices and stories of newcomers, migrants and farmworker communities.
● Maintain and analyze donor data to inform strategy and improve donor retention.
● Organize donor appreciation opportunities to deepen engagement with the Enlace's work.
Proposal/Grant Management
● Research, write, and submit grant proposals and reports to foundations, government agencies, and other funders.
● Track deadlines and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
● Collaborate with program staff to gather data and stories that demonstrate impact.
Communications & Events
● Develop fundraising materials that reflect the Enlace's values and community-centered approach.
● Plan and execute fundraising events, including annual gala, seasonal campaigns, donor briefings, and community celebrations.
Strategic Planning
● Work with leadership to identify new funding opportunities and partnerships.
● Provide regular fundraising performance reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
● Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
● 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development.
● Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills.
● Experience with donor databases (e.g., Givelively, Salesforce, Little Green Light, Bloomerang).
● Commitment to immigrant justice, farmworker and migrants rights, and racial equity.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
● Spanish language skills and/or experience working with immigrant communities is a plus.
Pay: $62, $75,000.00 per year
