Job Description Summary
Position Responsibilities

- Actively monitors assigned tickets, documents activities thoroughly, and resolves issues within the established service levels in a consistent manner.
- Provides information upon request to support user access audits activities.
- Participates in discussions related to the development of training content.
- Meets/Exceeds MSMC metrics related to user access assignments.
- Participates in incident investigations as required.
- Support in the analysis and request for information to respond to external audits, penetration tests and other assessments.
- Support security assessment activities to include security testing, vulnerability scanning of infrastructure, security controls, and other security related activities as required.
- Analyzes and documents vulnerabilities within information systems (software, hardware, and networking).
- Review, analyze, and troubleshoot security alerts, and escalate as necessary.
- Monitoring perimeter IT security systems, and various security services including antivirus, application whitelisting, access management, password management, encryption, and other security systems as required.
Qualifications
License/Registration/Certification
Microsoft, Security+, and or other Industry certifications preffered.
Education
College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. EPIC Security certification or certified within the first 6 months of employment.
Experience
Minimum of one year in IT and/or IT security preferred. One or more years in support role is desirable. Previous experience in a security role is preferred; Knowledge and understanding of information security fundamentals and software tools and security principles. Experience analyzing audit logs and implementing or recommending remedial action; Experience working with IP networks and familiarity with operating systems, including Microsoft and LINUX.
