Summary

Our Associate Therapists are responsible for providing compassionate, effective and trauma informed therapy services to individuals, couples, and families under the supervision and support of a fully licensed clinical supervisor.

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • For part-time positions there is no minimum hours or caseload expectation.
  • Establish and maintain a caseload of patients, including scheduling appointments and consulting with new and existing patients as needed.
  • Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions as appropriate and in accordance with your clinical training and expertise.
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients to address mental health needs.
  • Be informed about and utilize evidence based treatment modalities which may include but are not limited to: cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).
  • Help patients address basic needs by being informed about community resources and educating patients on community resources that can support their basic needs.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers as needed to provide the best quality of care and outcomes for patients
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate and timely records.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest mental health treatment and research through ongoing professional development and completing required continuing education.
  • Maintain licensing requirements and remain in good standing with the PLA
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice set forth by this organization and your professional code of ethics, including maintaining confidentiality and obtaining informed consent.
  • Have a clear understanding and adherence to HIPPA rules/regulations
  • Be able to assess, respond to, and support patients presenting with crisis needs including suicidal ideation with supportive supervision.
  • Be actively working toward obtaining full licensure in accordance with the requirements of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
  • Develop/Maintain a working knowledge of addiction and intervention to help treat addiction.
  • Attend scheduled clinical supervisions and report any incidents of mandated reporting or moderate/high suicide risk immediately to clinical supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field (licensed eligible)
  • Currently hold associate license (LMHCA, LCACA, LMFTA, LSW) or temporary permit to practice and have good standing with the professional licensing agency (PLA).
  • Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and providing evidence based interventions for a range of mental health/substance use disorders.
  • Ability to provide trauma informed, culturally sensitive, and inclusive care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage individual caseload.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a treatment team.
  • Commitment to providing culturally sensitive and trauma informed care
  • Commitment to creating a culture and space that is inclusive, affirming and supportive of all individuals.
  • Willingness to embrace technology that is required to conduct telehealth sessions and manage caseload through electronic health records system (SimplePractice).
  • Ability to pass criminal background check
