Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Wanted: Liscensed Physical Therapist Assistant PRN
Dates Needed: 12/27/2023 -1/15/2023
Hours Needed: 20-30hrs/wk

Lanham, MD outpatient solo provider looking for a PTA to cover vacation coverage $45-55per hour. One-on-one treatment with one hour long sessions, with documentation time.

Hours of operation are 9am- 5pm, hours are flexible and will accommodate any schedule. Will utilize MWTherapy EMR. Shared office space with a Medical Clinic.

Previous outpatient experience is required

We are always looking for PTA's, PRN positions can turn into a long-term position.

Duties:

• Provide direct patient care and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
• Perform evaluations and assessments to determine patients' needs and goals
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patients' strength, mobility, and function
• Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology to guide treatment plans
• Implement trigger point therapy techniques to address pain and muscle tension
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-care techniques

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
• Ability to provide effective patient care and demonstrate empathy and compassion
• Proficiency in pediatric physical therapy is a plus
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
