  • Investigate theoretical background of RFID communication links and of RF power delivered into RFID tags by reviewing established research and discussions with engineers
  • Model and simulate RF power delivered based on antenna source impedances, IC impedances, and IC operating points
  • Model and simulate radar backscatter and modulation backscatter using EM simulation tools
  • Reconcile and optimize model and simulations with existing measurements
  • Analyze model and simulations and explore RF parameters to optimize performance of communication link and power delivery
  • Augment existing research by compiling and documenting both the analysis and simulations
  • What You Will Bring:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a focus on RF and/or wireless communications
  • 1-3+ years of relevant coursework in signal processing, filtering, channel capacity, signal-to-noise ratio, bit-error rate, electromagnetic (EM) waves, EM propagation, s-parameters, reflection/transmission coefficients, smith chart, and matching circuits
