The Sales Manager is a leadership position within the organization that is responsible for the oversight and leadership of the sales operations of a 1-800-Hansons satellite office. The ideal candidate to become the Sales Manager has the ability to bring high energy to keep his team excited to be successful every day while taking the time to develop his team to continue to grow. What You Will Do:
- Provide leadership to the sales team.
- Hold sales representatives accountable for behavior that do not represent the company's values.
- Use reports and data to optimize lead allocation.
- Exceed sales goals by maximizing conversion rates and pricing effectiveness.
- Review and analyze sales reports to drive individual sales rep performance and training opportunities.
- Monitor the outcomes of individual sales appointments and provide additional support.
- Assist with the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of new Sales Representatives.
- Develop strategies to assist in sales representative retention.
- Motivate, engage, and provide ongoing training to Sales Representatives on the 1-800 Hansons sales system so that they are successful in pitching demonstrations and closing sales deals with prospective customers.
- Train negotiating techniques to help sales representatives maximize closing and pricing.
- Utilize in field training by joining representatives on appointments.
- Prepare and hold daily sales meeting in which sales concepts, metrics, and training on the 1-800 Hansons sales strategy are reviewed.
- Become an expert of the Hansons commission structure and answer sales representative questions and address concerns.
- Update Sales Representatives on new processes, offers, products, or changes to Hansons technology.
- Monitor local competitor activities to ensure maximum market penetration and lead generation within the assigned market.
- Assist in helping address customer service issues and concerns.
What We Require:
- Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years of sales management experience
- Demonstrated track record of successful lead generation and sales results
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Must be proactive, focused, and able to keep tasks and team members on track for productivity
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills; proficient in other MS Office applications such as PowerPoint and Word
- Organized and detail oriented
- Operates with a continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset
- Thrives in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
- Self-starter that takes the initiative to implement necessary changes
- Honest, ethical, and dependable
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the home improvement industry
- Experience developing high-volume sales teams
- Previous field sales experience

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain sitting in a stationary position for prolonged periods
- Requires the ability to move about inside the office
- Must be able to move items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, customers, vendors, and the public
- Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
Hours/Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week/52 weeks per year. Standard hours are M – F, 8:00 – 5:00 but due to cyclical nature of position, some overtime, including evening and weekend hours, will be required to complete projects under deadlines. Some local and statewide travel may be required.
