Are you passionate about leveraging data to drive impactful decisions? Camping World is seeking a motivated Data Analyst intern for summer 2026 to join our Data Management Office (DMO) and Data Science teams. This position not only involves supporting day-to-day operations but also immerses you in exciting AI projects. If you have a foundational understanding of data analysis and a strong enthusiasm for artificial intelligence as a career path, this is the perfect opportunity to further your skills and grow professionally at the cutting edge of analytics and AI. What You'll Do: Utilize programming software to organize, validate, and analyze large, complex data sets to fulfill business objectives. Collaborate with the DMO team to perform core tasks, including data validation (comparing and verifying report metrics), data engineering (small tasks requiring SQL and Python), and data analysis (testing hypotheses with analytics and visualization). Engage with CW Data Scientists on advanced projects such as data forecasting, anomaly detection, and implementing machine learning models. Create analytical tools and dashboards using Power BI to deliver actionable insights into key business performance metrics. Identify, design, and implement internal process enhancements: re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. Address data requests from business stakeholders, assist with data-related technical issues, and effectively communicate findings through visualization. Explore new datasets and conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and facilitate data-driven decisions, with a focus on identifying opportunities for AI applications. Take on individual special projects to deepen your knowledge in machine learning, big data technologies, and AI implementation. What You'll Need: Technical Skills Data Manipulation & Wrangling: Skilled in handling data in various formats (CSV, JSON, SQL databases) with the ability to clean and preprocess data. Proficient in writing SQL. Programming: Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. Data Visualization: Minimum 1 year of experience developing insights with Microsoft Power BI or similar tools. Statistical Analysis: Strong foundation in statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and probability theory. Machine Learning: Basic familiarity with machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, feature selection, and model evaluation. Cloud & Big Data: Exposure to major Cloud Platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and basic knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Hive is a plus. Mathematics: Solid understanding of linear algebra and calculus. Other Skills: Proactive in anticipating problems and taking action to resolve them. Efficiently executes tasks in a timely manner. Collaborative and able to share knowledge effectively. Enjoys working in teams and can also work independently. Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Expected graduation date between December 2025 - July 2027. Must be able to work on-site in our Chicago or Lincolnshire office during the internship.
