À propos

About the Company Mahler Machining is one of Western Canada's leading manufacturers of precision-machined components. Family-owned for over 40 years, and are growing rapidly under new ownership since 2022.
We operate a modern, clean, climate-controlled shop with 20 high-end CNC machines and a 50+ person team across three shifts. Quality is central to everything we do – we're ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified, supported by a dedicated quality department and CMM inspection capability.
Just as importantly, culture matters here. We value respect, teamwork, ownership, hustle, and doing things right. We're serious about our work, but we also look out for one another.
About the Role
We're hiring a CNC Machine Operator to join our experienced production team on the afternoon shift (4 x10s Monday to Thursday, 3:45pm – 1:45am)
This role is ideal for someone looking for steady full-time work, with a mechanical mindset, takes pride in accuracy and consistency, and wants to build a long-term career in machining.
Our work is primarily low-to-medium volume and high-mix, so no two days look exactly the same. You'll be operating CNC turning and milling centres, checking parts against drawings, and contributing to a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
We're hiring for attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn. If you show up, care about your work, and want to improve your skills, we'll support your growth through internal and external training.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Operating CNC turning and milling machining centers.
  • Measuring, checking, and recording machined part dimensions against drawings and tolerances.
  • Performing basic handwork such as deburring, cleaning, and polishing parts.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workstation and machine.
  • Complete basic machine care and routine maintenance.
  • Enter production and quality data into our ERP system (ProShop).

What We Are Looking For:
  • Minimum 1 year of CNC or manual machine operating experience.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Mechanical aptitude and mindset.
  • Comfortable with basic computer use for production tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
  • Safety-focused and respectful of shop procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Benefits Include:
  • $22–26/hour based on experience, with opportunities for overtime.
  • Extended health and dental benefits.
  • Health and lifestyle spending accounts.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • Paid vacation starting at 2 weeks, increasing to 3 weeks after 5 years.
  • Five paid sick days.
  • Discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
  • Company-provided uniforms and safety equipment.
  • Safety boot allowance.
  • Company events and team off-sites.

Growth Opportunities We're looking for people who want steady, full-time work and long-term growth. Many of our team members have built their careers here by expanding their skills, taking on more responsibility, and moving into advanced machining roles.
If you take pride in your work and want to grow with a company that invests in its people, we'd love to hear from you.
