*Structural Engineer Job Description*
CORE is searching for a talented and driven Structural Engineer to support the development, design, and construction of facility-related projects, guiding them from concept to completion.
*Responsibilities & Duties*
* Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements for structural engineering aspects.
* Utilize knowledge of materials, labor, and construction methods to develop accurate cost estimates for structural components of projects.
* Conduct structural analysis and design of industrial and manufacturing structures, including structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
* Evaluate and provide feedback on detailed design drawings to ensure accuracy, structural integrity, and adherence to project specifications.
* Prepare comprehensive construction specifications outlining materials, methods, and quality standards for structural components of projects.
* Compile and organize construction document packages, including drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents, for issuance to contractors and construction teams.
* Ensure that all structural designs and construction documents comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct quality assurance checks to verify accuracy and completeness of deliverables.
*Skills & Qualifications*
* Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
* Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Michigan or ability be licensed through reciprocity
* Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on facility-related projects
* Thorough comprehension of building codes, ASCE, and current steel and concrete codes
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative and practical structural solutions tailored to the unique requirements of each project type
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Function effectively in a team environment
* Ability to prioritize tasks
* Highly developed attention to detail
* Experience with Revit is required
* Experience with RAM elements, Tekla TEDDS, & other analytical software is desired
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
