Duties

• Safely operate a box truck for local route deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed, ensuring proper handling of goods
• Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and complete delivery documentation accurately
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition before each shift
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain a clean and organized truck interior and exterior throughout your shift
• Assist with warehouse activities such as inventory management, moving stock, and preparing shipments for delivery

Skills

• Proven experience as a commercial driver, courier, or delivery driver with a focus on route driving
• Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients during deliveries
• Experience with warehouse operations including heavy lifting, moving, and inventory handling
• Ability to operate a box truck with manual transmission safely and confidently
• Familiarity with forklift operation and pallet jacks preferred but not required
• Excellent driving record with knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, loading, unloading, and extended periods of driving
