Our fully interactive dog daycare, boarding, and spa facility is GROWING, and we're looking for a part time or full time kennel assistant to care for and help manage a bunch of paw-some dogs. Must be at least 18 years old, have your own transportation, and be reliable. Total of 18-36 hours/week.

Skills:
- Must have experience in a dog daycare or kennel facility
- Must be comfortable around dogs of all sizes/breeds
- Must have excellent cleaning and organizational skills, and be detail-oriented
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must be comfortable in a noisy (bark-bark) environment
- Possess the ability to interact with clients and dogs in a professional manner
- Possess the ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed
- Must be able to be on your feet for 5-7 hours a day

Summary:
As a Kennel Assistant, you will be essential in providing high-quality care for animals in our facility. Reporting to the General Manager, your core responsibilities will include animal handling, pet care, and maintaining a clean environment through regular cleaning and heavy lifting tasks. Your organizational skills will help ensure that all animals are well-cared for and comfortable. Additionally, your strong communication skills will facilitate effective interactions with pet owners and team members. This position requires a passion for working with animals, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team. Demonstrating proficiency in all assigned tasks, punctuality, and competence may lead to promotions and bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and dog management.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kennel facilities through regular cleaning and sanitization.
  • Handle and restrain animals safely.
  • Assist with customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' needs.
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring the safety and well-being of all animals in care.
