Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations.
• Work with low voltage systems, high voltage setups, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation and control functions.
• Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical faults and ensure system integrity.
• Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), especially when working on construction sites or with high voltage systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades like frame carpentry or handyman services to coordinate installation efforts.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and parts used to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Skills

• Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low/high voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and testing equipment efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
• Knowledge of NEC regulations and best practices for electrical installations on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Familiarity with schematics interpretation and frame carpentry skills beneficial for integrated project work.
