At the bustling restaurant at Madbush Falls, Vermont's bike & ski basecamp in the incredible Mad River Valley, we're hiring bartenders and mixologists to help grow our talented team. Our restaurant has over 100 seats between indoor/outdoor and dining on 2 levels, along with built-in business from a 24-room hotel, a dozen glamping tents, a bike shop operated by the Outdoor Gear Exchange, and riverside Savu saunas. If you're the right fit for this job, you already know what it entails. You will lead by example and help others succeed. You will have more interaction with some guests than anybody else in their entire stay. Their memories of Madbush Falls and even Vermont in general will be formed by you

We'll look to you to help curate/create our beer and cocktail program and cultivate relationships with locals and visitors alike, sharing your knowledge and love of Vermont with them all.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and take orders for beverages and food.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to the restaurant's specifications.
• Verify guests' identification and ensure that they are of legal drinking age.
• Keep the bar area clean and well-stocked.
• Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions
• Communicate with the kitchen and other restaurant staff to ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.
• Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Upsell and promote menu items and special offers.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, following health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a bartender in a restaurant or bar setting
• Knowledge of mixology and beverage service techniques
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drinks and processing payments.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures

Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (such as TIPS) preferred but not required.

Pay: this is a tipped position that pays $30/hr-$50+/hr.
