About The Role

We're looking for a AM Molding Dept. Supervisor for our Imlay City facility that has hands-on experience with both injection and insert molding. Must have a proven track record of leadership, fostering a positive workplace culture. Our candidate must be able to easily understand and follow new processes. The pay range is from $20 to $25 hourly based on years of experience and areas of expertise.

Where You Stand Out – Key Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for ensuring that employees are performing effectively and achieve their daily goals. Our supervisors act as a vital link between management and staff, sharing information and addressing issues. Must be thorough in working, organizing, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

Organize and allocate personnel to meet production demands and schedule requirements.

Coordinate and oversee mold and color changeovers to maximize efficiency.

Monitor production cycle times, efficiency, and scrap rates, implementing improvements to optimize performance.

Ensure that all process parameters are followed to manufacture parts that meet quality standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with molding machines and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime.

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team.

Provide training for new and existing team members on machine operation, safety procedures, and quality standards. Keep Training Matrix up to date.

Address and resolve personnel issues and conduct performance evaluations in accordance with company policy.

Communicate company objectives and performance goals to the team.

Conduct daily Gemba walks of the dept.

Attend meetings as required.

Work with Quality Department to establish effective relationships.

Mechanical knowledge (automotive/manufacturing background a plus).

Excellent attention to detail.

Effective listening skills

Critical thinking and information processing skills

Outstanding organizational skills

Ability to work under stress.

Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are necessary. Knowledge of PLEX preferred.
