Oversees the operation, integrity, and maintenance of servers, applications, and supporting network infrastructure to ensure they are highly available, secure, and performing optimally. Plans and supports network systems including their installation, maintenance and any upgrades to their operating systems, application infrastructure, and related software, and also manages the lifecycle of hardware assets. Works closely with IT staff, application teams, and vendors to support the technical operation of clinical and non-clinical applications and to complete daily tasks and assignments

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
  • Researches, implements, and monitors security controls and tools to protect servers, applications, and supporting network infrastructure from threats, vulnerabilities, and operational risks.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
  • Plans and manages infrastructure asset refresh cycles by assessing lifecycle status, performance, warranty coverage, risk, and alignment with organizational standards and application requirements.
  • Installs and upgrades computer components and software and manages virtual servers.
  • Troubleshoots network hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
  • Performs regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
  • Uses software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network status and problems.
  • Assist coordinating infrastructure and maintenance activities including, servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and supporting network components.
  • Resolves infrastructure issues involving power, network hardware, and software, lines, modems, and terminals.
  • Manages vendor support tickets for issue tracking and timely resolution and documentation of issues.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Five (5) years of database, network administration, or system administration experience, required

  • Associate's degree in Networking Technology or related field, bachelors preferred
  • CompTIA Server+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications required, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) certification is preferred.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is preferred.
    Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate is preferred
