Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. This role is essential to our fiber optic
infrastructure projects, focusing on site preparation and temporary fiber line installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform whitelining operations at project locations to mark proposed fiber routes and
identify potential obstacles
- Lay and install temporary fiber optic lines according to project specifications and safety
standards
Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal routing paths
Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion
of installations
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including route maps and
installation records
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company
policies
Identify and report any issues or concerns encountered during installation
Perform quality checks on completed work
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in fiber optic installation, telecommunications, or related field
preferred
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and
working outdoors in various weather conditions
