Position Summary:
The Assistant Personal Training Director supports the PTD in managing all aspects of the Personal Training department — including sales performance, trainer development, client experience, and operational execution. The APTD helps drive revenue, maintain manpower, and ensure the team delivers exceptional results aligned with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Performance
- Assist PTD in achieving monthly EFT, QSR, and PT revenue goals
- Conduct and support PT sales presentations during member tours
- Track daily pacing, QSR metrics, and ensure consistent follow-up
- Help maintain minimum 1 PT sale per 10 gym sign-ups
- Ensure proper scripting, probing, and 5-min workouts are executed
Trainer Development & Management
- Support onboarding and training of new Personal Trainers
- Coach trainers on retention, renewals, and session delivery
- Audit trainer sessions and ensure quality service
- Help manage trainer schedules, availability, and productivity targets
Operational Excellence
- Maintain full manpower: assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding trainers
- Review planners for follow-ups, consultations, and booked sessions
- Help manage the QSR tracker and update key performance sheets
- Ensure all PT documentation, agreements, and member follow-ups are accurate
Client Experience
- Ensure new PT clients receive orientation, assessment, and proper onboarding
- Handle service concerns and escalations professionally
- Support retention strategies and client milestone recognition
Leadership & Culture
- Lead by example with urgency, professionalism, and positivity
- Support a culture of accountability, teamwork, and growth
- Step into PTD role when PTD is off-site or unavailable
Performance Metrics:
- EFT Growth % vs Goal
- QSR Show and Close Rate
- PT Sales Volume and Conversion
- Trainer Productivity (Sessions Delivered)
- Manpower (Hiring & Retention)
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years experience in fitness sales, personal training, or management
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proven ability to motivate teams and hit sales goals
- NASM, ACE, ISSA, or other nationally recognized certification preferred
Compensation:
- Base pay + commissions + bonuses based on performance
- Growth path to PTD and beyond
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
