POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Monday - Friday
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- First shift (7:30 am to 4:00 pm)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
In Order To Be Selected For Interview, Candidates Must
- Candidates must indicate they hold a current and valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tank endorsement in the ""Licenses and Professional Certifications"" section of the application, or they will not be considered. Applicants invited to interview will be required to produce a copy of their current valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B, reflecting the ""tank endorsement,"" and valid Medical Examiner's Card (MEC) at time of interview, or they will be immediately disqualified.
- Incumbents in this class must be willing to accept assignment to emergency duties, including snow and ice removal, whenever his or her services are needed; to include mandatory winter overtime from November 1 through April 30. Various storm events will require employees to stay at work for the duration of the storm; which at times could be up to a period of several days, to include holidays and weekends.
- Candidates will be required to bring a copy of their Master Application at the time of interview.
- Candidates must show how they meet the required knowledge and experience on their application to proceed further in the hiring process.
- Applicants invited to interview will be requested to supply a copy of their Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B, with Tank Endorsement, valid Medical Examiner's Card (MEC) and copies of their last tow performance appraisals.
THE ROLE
This position is responsible for overseeing a Highway Maintenance garage of various levels of Transportation Maintainers and Transportation Maintenance Crew Leaders in maintenance operations of various statewide roadways and highways. This position will cover the duties of the Transportation Maintenance Manager as required.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Must have working knowledge in Microsoft Computer Applications (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint).
- Has experience with Vendor in Place (VIP), which is our highway maintenance milling and paving program. the general supervisor oversees the planning, ordering of materials and making sure the milling and paving contractor is following the correct policies and procedures.
