Join us as our new Quality Control Lab Technician
We are seeking a Lab Technician to join our Quality Control laboratory team in Salem, Virginia. In this role, you will perform routine and non-routine Microbial screening assays to support stakeholders in Quality Operations, Production, Supply Chain and Regulatory. As an QC Technician, you will leverage your skill set to execute studies in accordance to written procedures while maintaining accurate up-to-date records of all work performed. Focus and attention to detail are a must as you will work cross-functionally to tackle issues impacting key areas.

In this role you'll make an impact by:
Supporting routine and non-routine microbial analysis of production batches accurately and reliably
Understanding and properly using laboratory equipment and methods
Calculate and record accurate data in Laboratory notebooks, LIMS and SAP
Perform basic troubleshooting techniques as outlined in SOP's
Demonstrating initiative in taking on responsibilities that contribute to the Quality, Safety and Environmental policies at the site
To succeed you must have:
Possess a bachelor's degree in microbiology or related field with a strong track record
Preferentially hold a strong understanding of molecular biology and production processes with exceptional focus on customer service
Experience with LIMS, JMP, Tableau and/or PowerBI is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
A strong problem-solving skillset with working knowledge of LEAN principles preferred
Mainstream computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) are essential
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Location: Salem, Virginia (On-site)

Expected salary range: $40,000-$55,000
