Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and talented Baker/Pastry Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating exquisite pastries, desserts, and baked goods that delight our customers and elevate our culinary offerings. Your expertise in cake decorating, food preparation, and food handling will ensure each product meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Duties

  • Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, tarts, and confections with attention to detail and artistic flair
  • Decorate cakes and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques to create visually stunning products
  • Manage food production processes to ensure timely delivery of fresh items for service or retail sale
  • Package baked goods securely and attractively for retail or catering purposes
  • Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of food handling and preparation
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings that excite our clientele
  • Assist with catering orders, ensuring all items are prepared to specifications and presented beautifully

Qualifications

  • Proven pastry experience in a professional kitchen or bakery environment with a strong portfolio of decorated cakes and desserts
  • Skilled in food preparation, baking techniques, knife skills, and food industry best practices
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience in cake decorating, packaging, and food presentation is highly desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
  • Previous restaurant or catering experience preferred; culinary school training is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
