We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics operations in Houston, Texas. This position is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, ensuring timely and safe handling of inventory. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a strong safety record, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations. This role requires precision, agility, and a dedication to maintaining a secure working environment. Excellent attention to detail and adherence to Safety protocols are mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move palletized goods.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse areas.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Stack and retrieve products from racking systems.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Follow all established logistics and material handling procedures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation and safety standards.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory flow.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe work environment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
