This role is essential for maintaining the precision and efficiency of our warehouse operations. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for safeguarding our inventory, ensuring accuracy through diligent counting, analysis, and reconciliation processes. Your duties will involve performing cycle counts, investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, and implementing effective inventory control strategies. A strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is key, along with exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all team members to strictly adhere to safety regulations and utilize the necessary PPE. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and investigate inventory variances.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inventory records in the WMS.
  • Implement and refine inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Perform regular audits of inventory storage locations.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling and storage of goods.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of physical inventory counts.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and key performance metrics.
  • Uphold all safety standards and wear appropriate PPE.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Familiarity with WMS and inventory control software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
