We have an exciting opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving Associate in our Austin, Texas facility. This role is central to our **logistics** operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for managing the flow of goods, verifying documentation, preparing shipments, and maintaining a safe and organized dock area. A strong commitment to **safety** and attention to detail are essential. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of materials. Adherence to all **safety** protocols, including the mandatory use of **PPE**, is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any issues to supervisors.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging, labeling, and documenting them accurately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments.
- Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company **safety** policies and procedures, including the proper use of **PPE**.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform **lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and **logistics** procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
- Knowledge of **safety** regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to wear and use required **PPE**.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
