We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team in Austin, Texas. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be key to our operational success. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of productivity and **safety**. You will work closely with our **logistics** team to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists, using scanning devices.
- Ensure the correct quantity and type of items are picked for each order.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, adhering to company guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including workstations and common areas.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all company **safety** policies and procedures, including the proper use of **PPE**.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform **lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and **safety** protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may have varying temperatures.
