Seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics hub in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is critical for managing the inflow of materials into our warehouse. Responsibilities include accurately receiving shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and processing all incoming goods into our inventory system. The ideal candidate possesses excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. You will be essential in ensuring the integrity of our inventory from the moment it enters our facility, supporting our broader logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Verify received items against shipping manifests and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and note any discrepancies or defects.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Stage received products for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal staff regarding receiving activities.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits.
- Support the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics.
Requirements:
- Ability to handle tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working in a warehouse setting and following safety protocols.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
