This role is key to our operational efficiency, focusing on the safe and timely movement, storage, and organization of materials. You will be operating various types of material handling equipment, ensuring that inventory is accurately located and accessible. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Move, stack, and arrange materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with physical inventory counts.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Support overall warehouse operations and logistics flow.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Certification to operate forklifts is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in manual lifting, with the ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Must be dependable and possess a strong work ethic.
